Honeywell Aerospace: 100 Years in Aviation

Background

Honeywell Aerospace focuses on engineering devices that are used on commercial, private and government aircraft and spacecraft.

Honeywell’s aerospace division, established is 1914, was in the process of launching its centennial celebration.The anniversary campaigns scheduled to last a year with a main event for employees on June 18, 2014.

Execution

As part of a six person team, we developed an internal and external communications plan for Honeywell Aerospace's 100th anniversary. My three person team was responsible with developing the external communications component of the campaign which included:
 

  • Primary research of external audiences and secondary research of past anniversary celebrations.
     

  •  A downloadable vintage calendar, video storyboard, developed a Pinterest page, and a microsite which housed a digital listening wall.
     

  • A Prezi for the client that explained the research conducted throughout the semester, illustrated campaign goals and campaign tactics which was presented to the client.
     

  • Created a final document containing the team's strategic public relations campaign plan and future recommendations to move forward with the campaign.

The campaign was a 2015 Platinum PR Award finalist.
